We will be participating in Gordonsville’s Main Street Market on April 30th.

Please come see us!

Spring has finally come to Virginia!

The gallery is open and ready to greet you with lots of new work by our talented roster of artists.

There are beautiful flower paintings and landscapes to bring the outdoors inside, handsome and unusual ceramics to hold those spring flowers, jewelry, hand-knit sweaters and stylish reclaimed leather bags for a vernal lift to your wardrobe.

Whether your treating yourself, finding a gift for a friend, or just want to browse, we hope you’ll stop by and check out our new stock. If you’ve never visited us or Gordonsville, you’ll be impressed by the gallery and charmed by the town.

We look forward to seeing you!

Fashion As Art

Fashion As Art is an annual event series engaging the community with art, fashion, and The Fralin Museum of Art at the University of Virginia. In partnership with local businesses and the museum’s volunteer board, this event highlights the museum, as well as artist and artisans from our area and beyond. A portion of the proceeds from the Annie Gould Gallery will benefit The Fralin.

The gallery has chosen to highlight our talented artisan Krissie Maier owner of the Great Maier Mercantile on Saturday November the 13th from 11-4.

Krisse creates one of a kind bags. Each bag is handmade with repurposed vintage leather belts and leather sustainably sourced with remnants from furniture companies and materials from generous folks. We knew Krissie was the right fit for this event because of her passion for upcycling and sustainability. She puts that passion into every bag she creates and in doing so she cultivates an amazing community through fashion and art.

New Artists

New artist Jane Martin, “Wallflowers first bloomed in my imagination as the result of my obsession with flowers and an inexplicable need to use them to decorate my functional ceramic ware. All on their own, affixed to a tile, they became a sort of whimsical study of their natural counterparts. Working in a way that was entirely decorative rather than functional, I gleaned horticultural inspiration from my own garden as well as botanical prints and “flower portraits” of the 19th century. Other influences include a love of vintage textiles as evidenced in the hand painted and stenciled background of my tiles. Wallflowers are my tribute to the real thing – those garden beauties which never fail to bring us joy and make us smile. My goal is to capture their charm: to surprise and delight.”
